DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION REQUIRED\n(see below) \nWe are proud to be a participant in Pickerington Lions’ Earth Day Cleanup during the 2026 Pickerington Earth Day Celebration! \nThe day begins at 8:00 a.m. at Combustion Brewery & Tap Room\, 80 W Church St\, Suite 101\, Pickerington. Meet there to sign in and join the group who will be planting native tree seedlings in Hague Nature Preserve! \nRegistration is Required. Sign up using this link: Pickerington Earth Day: Pickerington Lions’ Earth Day Cleanup. \nThere are no restrooms at the tree-planting location\, so be sure to use the facilities at Combustion Brewery before heading out that morning! \nSpecial thanks to Green Columbus who donated the trees that will be planted; they are also providing tools for us to use this day! Wear long sleeves and closed-toed shoes. You may wish to bring your own work gloves. \nTo those who will help this day\, thanks in advance! We’re looking forward to working with you. \nREMINDERS \nExcept for prearranged visits and special events such as this one\, Hague Nature Preserve is not open to the public. \nWhile in Hague Nature Preserve we should not disturb the wildlife inhabitants and native plant life. There is a no alcohol\, no smoking policy in the preserve. \nNo Pets\nPets are never permitted in nature preserves. \nWhat to Bring\nPotable water is not available at this location; bring your own drinking water. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year\, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent. Dress for the day’s weather including appropriate footwear for muddy or slippery conditions. \nBefore You Go\nOur outdoor events and programs are held rain or shine. DESCRIPTION:Image: Rose-breasted Grossbeak (cropped) | © Steven Kersting\, skersting66 on Flickr (some rights reserved) \n\nSpring Migration at Hague Nature Preserve\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED \nFriday\, May 1\, 2026\n9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. \nCome join us looking for migrant and resident birds who are either passing through or making Hague Nature Preserve their home. \nBring binoculars!  We will be on crude trails or even off-trail\, so wear sturdy footwear.  It is also recommended you wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts and bring insect repellent. There will be a quarter-mile hike from the parking area to the nature preserve.  Keep in mind\, there are no restrooms in the area we will be. \nRegistration Required\nThis program is limited to 12 participants.  Each registrant or the parent/guardian of a minor must agree to the terms of a Release and Waiver of Liability that is part of the signup process.
