Volunteering is always a win-win situation! Hague Nature Preserve benefits from time volunteers spend with us to plant trees, remove invasive plants, pick up trash, and other work. Volunteers tell us they enjoy the time working outside for the benefit of the preserve and feel the satisfaction of a job well-done.
Now, volunteers can benefit in another way. Your hours can now be recorded and exchanged for time credits with Care & Share Time Bank (CSTB)!
Who is CSTB? They explain it best by saying, “CSTB is a community service exchange of neighbors helping neighbors where everyone’s time is equal, no matter what service is being provided. An hour of my time is equal to an hour of your time.” An example might be you volunteer three hours at Hague Nature Preserve, then bank that time in your account. Later, you need a service someone else can provide, so you ‘pay’ for it with the three hours you banked.
There is no charge to join, no membership fees. Get more information at Care & Share Time Bank.
