Come join us looking for migrant and resident birds who are either passing through or making Hague Nature Preserve their home.
Bring binoculars! We will be on crude trails or even off-trail, so wear sturdy footwear. It is also recommended you wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts and bring insect repellent. There will be a quarter-mile hike from the parking area to the nature preserve. Keep in mind, there are no restrooms in the area we will be.

This program is limited to 12 participants. Each registrant or the parent/guardian of a minor must agree to the terms of a Release and Waiver of Liability that is part of the signup process. Use the link below to register now!

Volunteer Hours
Participants can earn volunteer hours for time spent at this program by adding their observations to the Hague Nature Preserve project on iNaturalist. The Bill & Joyce Hague Foundation is a partner with Care and Share Time Bank and will approve volunteer hours for scouting, National Honor Society, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists, and other organizations that promote community service.
REMINDERS
Except for prearranged visits and special events such as this one, Hague Nature Preserve is not open to the public.
While in Hague Nature Preserve we should not disturb the wildlife inhabitants and native plant life. There is a no alcohol, no smoking policy in the preserve.
No Pets
Pets are never permitted in nature preserves.
What to Bring
Potable water is not available at this location; bring your own drinking water. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent. Dress for the day’s weather including appropriate footwear for muddy or slippery conditions.
Before You Go
Our outdoor events and programs are held rain or shine. If severe weather is forecast, it is recommended you check with the organizer to be sure a program has not been postponed, canceled, or rescheduled.
